Moments In Time

Posted by Danica Quabba on

Hi all!

Wow what a busy couple of weeks. Last weekend we had some family photos now that Abigail's tube has been out and her skin on her face has healed and settled. I won't call them photos but more moments in time that @petahillphotography was able to capture were perfect.

As you all know the Christmas period is a tough time for us with the past two years bringing diagnoses and hospitalisations not knowing what christmas would bring.

This year was the first year we managed to get through the festive lead up and honest to god I have never seen her so excited. This year the girls have helped decorate the tree, written letters to Santa and have enjoyed seeing all the Christmas lights. Although Abigail isn't seizure free she is making the most of the hand she has been dealt.

Our biggest focus now is packing and getting Abigail to grow! For those of you who didn't see my story, Abigail has become deficient in bicarbonate and therefore hasn't grown in roughly 6 months. This can be a side effect of keto diet, but also bicarbonate is produced by healthy kidneys and unfortunately Abigail's kidneys have some issues.

We are heading into Christmas with full hearts and just grateful we can hold our girls in our arms and spending our Christmas surrounded by our loved ones.

This moment to me emanates hope for the future!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Keeps yours eyes peeled for some exciting stuff in January ❤️
